Welcomed her baby boy into the world. Tripp Johnston I think is his name.
What makes this whole situation much different from any other teen pregnancy is the fact that Bristol Palin is in the public eye with the fact that her mother was John McCain's running mate for the vice presidency.
Suddenly in our world, teen pregnancy is impacting younger and younger age groups.
The real question is what do we have to do to lessen the percentages of teen pregnancy. We need to start with the media, the media already gives off a huge sexual vibe, making it look okay for teens to practice unsafe sex.
Juno, was a fabulous way to show that teen pregnancy isn't the best and brightest idea. Teens have so much ahead of them, especially now, don't mess it up with having unsafe sex. no point.

Merry Christmas.....
Welcome to the "best time" of the year.
Well that's what everyone says.
Is it really?
Spending all of your money and maxing out your credit cards?
and for what?
Is the extravagant gifts really worth it?
I know everyone says that Christmas shouldn't be about the gifts, but that's exactly what Christmas is about in the modern society.
Should be about giving to others, and helping those who can't afford to have a fantastic Christmas!
Christmas gifts should be stuff that the person needs, and not wants. I am not saying that getting stuff you want isn't great to recieve. But most of the gifts should be want is needed.
So next time you spend tons of money and max out your credit cards, think about others who are less fortunate, and deserve to also have a great christmas.

My grandpa Chuck has had me cracking up since I was a baby. My grandpa has dentures because when he was a police officer he got them knocked out with a night stick. But he always ust to move them around in his mouth, and it ust to make me laugh so hard, and kinda scare me alittle. haha. But he will never change his great sense of humor, and i'm so happy about that.
There you know alittle bit about my own thoughts.

Why would you do that to your child.
Not all of my blogs have to be serious in that sort, time for some kind of topic.
TOP THREE WORSE BABY NAMES EVER....(CELEBRITY BABY NAMES)
And trust me on this one, there are some horrible ones.
1. Moxie Crimefighter: daughter or son of Penn Jillette. Kinda oddball when ou don't know by their name if they are a male or female.
2. Audio Science: Shannyn Sossaman's son. Okay honestly, where do these celebs get these names. I honestly feel bad for this kid, he's so gonna get teased in school.
3. Pilot Inspektor: Jason Lee's son. Now come on! First the kids parents look illiterate, cause inspector isn't spelled right, and it reminds me of an actual pilot, like Pilot Smith. Poor kid, his parents already picked out his career before he was even born. Now that's controlling.
Celebs shouldn't have kids if they are gonna torture the kid for life with ridiculous names. Now I am all about a child's name because unique and having some indivuality...but parents get a grip.

Caylee Anthony...

The little girl that disappeared from her grandparent's home in June, well today at 9:30am in FL, Caylee's remains were found 1 and a half miles away from her grandparent's home. Her mother currently is being charged with first degree murder of her three-year old daughter.
This kind of stuff happens everyday. But no matter who you are or what your reasons are, if you kill a child, your disgusting. How could anyone murder an innocent child. Caylee did nothing to deserve what happened to her.
So let us all take a few minutes to remember the short life lived by Caylee Anthony. Rest in Peace!
Damage that's being done, but nothing is being done about it!

Puppy Mills.
I'm sure you have heard someone coin this term before?
I'm sure you have heard someone coin this term before?
But do you really know what Puppy Mills are?
Do you have a dog? A Cocker Spaniel, Chocolate Lab, Boxer?
Where did you buy them? A rescue shelter, pet store, or a friend?
Did you know that over ten million dogs currently reside in Puppy Mills...where
female dogs are forced to give birth to amost 100 dogs in their whole life. Then after these female dogs are unable to give birth to pups they are shot. YEAH! That's not even the worst of it. The way these dogs are treated is awful. They live in cages where the dogs can barely move, and half the time all of the cages are outside, they are without warmth in the winter and without water in 90 degree weather. These dogs often are sleeping in their own urine, and they often share carges with 5 to 6 dogs or more. These dogs also have no bedding, they are sleeping on the wires of their cages, with many wire protruding and cutting up their paws. All of these dogs have never walked on grass, and often when some of these dogs are rescued, they don't know how to walk cause they never have before. How ridiculous!

I have a Boxer Dog named Bella. We bought her from a pet store in Fort Madison, Iowa. I know you are probably thinking if I'm such a activist about shutting down puppy mills, why did I get a dog from a pet store. But we pretty much rescued Bella. She was six months old when we got her, and my mom is an avid boxer lover, well for the first six months of Bella's life, she laid in a cage not much bigger than you see at the puppy mills, laying on those protruding wires with no bedding. Bella had absolutely no social skills, she had never been around people. For the first month after we brought Bella home, she laid in a corner between our two couchs, the space was no bigger that the cage she ust to live in. It was just horrible to watch Bella be so terrified of us, it just broke our hearts. We have had Bella for a little over two years now, she's a great dog and has a fantastic personality. She loves her bones, and trying to fit herself in the smallest places she can find. She's not accostume to sleeping on the floor, it's always a bed or couch. We love Bella. And watching the episode of Oprah today about the puppy mills just broke my heart and makes me want to make a difference, and if I ever purchase another dog, it will be from a shelter, because I never want to see another dog go through what Bella did, and I know there are dogs out there that is going through worse.
Just a P.S. Never purchase a dog from Petland, they routinely purchase their dogs from puppy mills and lie about it. They say they have high standards for their breeders, but that's a lie, they don't care about those dogs are that getting neglected everyday, all Petland cares about is turning a profit. It's shelters all the way! Those are the people that care about the animals they rountinely save. So think next time you get a dog, where are they from? And what can I do to help?

POP FRENZY!
It's not even really just pop, more like pop and energy drinks FRENZY!
People know how awful both are for your body, so why do we continue to drink it? Ever heard of a sugar-low?
Pop and Energy gives are meant to give you so much adrenaline, well that heightened energy has to go somewhere, so you know when you feel suddenly like your going to fall asleep in public somewhere? Yeah SUGAR LOW!
So drink something without so much sugar?! Probably a good idea, or do something to give you some natural energy, like run!! But pop and energy drinks are fattening, and completely bad for your body.
think about that.

Riots breaking out in Greece.
Saturday night Alexandros Grigoropoulos was shot and killed by a cop in the port city of Thessaloniki.
Since the shooting of Grigoropoulos, young teens all over Greece have been setting fires to local buildings on fire, and starting riots everywhere. Police fired tear gas at youths attacking shops and a police station in this area. Riots were also reported in Crete, Corfu and other cities.
The one officer has been charged with manslaughter and along with an accomplice over killing Alexandros Grigoropoulos.
I think that if a cop can't handle a situation with a young teenager, he could be permitted to handle a gun? This whole situation could have been avoided if the cop was thinking about his own consequences.

The Cost of a good picture....
Almost one-thousand dollars to get senior photos. Is it really worth your parents money? I think it is, today I just got my THREE proof books and 127 singles. But it's the one time I ever get to dress up and pose without being a model!! I will update you on how they look exactly.

Friends, and forever more.

The chickadee to my right is my girl Chaylea, this year we have become really close. I don't know why we waited so long to be good friends. But Chaylea always has me laughing about some random crap. What I like most about Chaylea is she is my polar opposite, she's Miss Rebellious, which I'm not. She takes her chances in things I never would, but that's what makes everything so great....I don't know what I would do without these girls....they are both amazing in many ways.
-Sarah.
(GO GIRLS)
1.9 million decline.
No i'm not talking about DOW!
The jobs is what I am talking about, I just logged onto to CNN to get topics to discuss on my blog. CNN states that the US shed around 553,000 jobs just in 2008. The unemployment rate is at 6.7%, which is the lowest it has been in 34 years. Analyst say that approximentaly 325,00 jobs are lost per month at this going rate. These stats make me think if this unemployment rate will actually reach state jobs. I currently work at Washington County Hospital, and I hold a state job there, if unemployment gets worse, will I also lose my job? Our economy is getting worse everyday, and like America has done for centuries is throwing money at our problems...that's all we know how to do. We need to make some changes, or the planet is going to actually blow up in 2012.

Millions of Jounals filled of mumble jumble.
I love to write. End of story. I think I have at least 15 journals full of words that may have meant something at one time, the random memories that would have been better if they were forgotten, lost in time, that no one could reclaim.
But having these journals help me ease the moments in my life that initially did hurt me. But its good to look back on the bad memories, it helps to move on from it, but you can only move on if you face it.
So to offer some advice, more for girls than guys, just keep a journal and write daily events, there are some things that you don't want to forget.

FREAK-OUT WEEK!
Well not for yearbook, our only FREAK OUT WEEK is the whole 9 WEEKS OF FOURTH TERM. Anyways, Newspaper is printing off all of their pages for their next issue, and me and Allison just sit here dinking around doing nothing at all. We are like the invisible students of JPUBS! We pretty much do whatever we want, and then maybe one day a week, we do something for yearbook like take a picture or get a quick quote or write a story about something that happened this week.
Deadlines for yearbook are unbelievably stressful. And I really don't think people understand how stressful it is. Everyone thinks yearbook is sooo easy, and that we never have stress. But whoever thinks that is sooo WRONG!
I remember last year we had issues with pages losing information that we put on page, the index was kinda messed up, and the design is excruiating, the stroke is a off color, or not enough captions for all of the pictures. It's just awful. So next time you think that Yearbook is easy, try it, and find out for yourself.

The confusion of Modern Slang...
If it's from LOL, TTYL, BRB, LMAO, ILY, or anything else, it's slang that adults don't understand. Slang isn't just used in iming anymore, it's used in texting, and unfortantely in talking to someone in person. I only covered the main slang terms that our generation uses. But the true question is, where did all these slang terms come from? When did it start?
I really like seeing new slang terms that pop up all the sudden. Like about a year ago, the slang term for I LOVE YOU being ily was a new rave recently, but I actually like this one, it's kinda a cool look, it's hard to describe, but it was cool.
Leave your thoughts about this generations slang?

Senioritis! What is that?
Remember back to the good old days and your in second term of your senior year, just anticipating that fateful last day of your grade school career, all the standardized tests you had to take, the teachers that you didn't think liked you, and of course the mounds of homework that never seemed to get smaller.
Remember the days of your senior year that you just didn't want to get out of bed, and doing your homework is a lot harder than it was your junior year...Welcome to the concept of SENIORITIS! I must say I am getting a serious case of this right now, and it's only second term, i have missed so many days, now not all days was I skipping school, some I had legitimate stuff come up, such as senior photos, a vacation to Missouri. But I still don't like going to school now, and I am slacking on my homework a little. But I have to get back on track, I really need to do good this year if I want to go somewhere good for college.
Wish me luck!

Facebook vs. Myspace
Facebook vs. Myspace? Which one is better? When Myspace first came out on the scene, it's was huge! I remember the first time I got on Myspace, I was so ADDICTED. I checked it every five minutes. But just like any new craze, it ended. And now I am never on it, I check it maybe once a month.
Now Facebook is the new Myspace...I check it daily.
The crazy way to take photos....

PHOTOBOOTH! The latest craze at Washington High School, taking crazy photos that are just not attractive to anyone figure. So what's so great about making a fool of yourself? Just that! Making a fool of yourself is the greatest part about Photobooth. So next time your on a MAC PC. look up Photobooth, and make a fool of yourself, it's a riot!

JPUBS!
The Editor and I have predicting all summer about what was gonna happen this year. Yearbook has been shoved on the back burner, we have like three to four on staff and our editor, Jerra is currently not in the class. So it's hard to not get confused about what is going on.
OMG IT'S FRUSTRATING!
Not so new to the scene...
SHINEDOWN!
More recently Shinedown has become the talk of the young population. Shinedown isn't exactly new to the music world, but why the sudden urge to listen to Shinedown?
In my personal opinion, Shinedown is emerging once again at a great speed. One of the newest songs that Shinedown has come out with is "SECOND CHANCE" Which I believe is absolutely amazing!
Actually Shinedown came out of the music in 2000, originally from Jacksonville, FL. They were snatched up by Atlantic Records.
The album "US AND THEM" went gold. Current band members in Shinedown are: Brent Smith, Jasin Todd, Barry Kerch, and Brad Stewart.
Even thought Shinedown isn't new, they defintely give off a fresh feeling!
