Black Friday is one of the hugest shopping days of the year. But question being, is it really worth the hype?
Yesterday I went shopping, lines wrapping all the way around the store, and having some of the slowest employees checking people out...only some of the drawbacks to shopping on this crazy day.
I walked into Target in Coralville, Iowa bought some things there, and Target is attached to the mall, i also went into the mall and grabbed a few things. I walked in with $189 and walked out with $5.00. So I guess it's not too terrible since I finished all of my Christmas shopping.
But is it really worth it?
Is it worth waking up at 5am, or even worse sleeping outside of Best Buy in order to get a door buster deal. Or even worse, dying??
NO WAY! That's pathetic! Think about your own money and even ur life before you decide to go shopping on Black Friday!

The latest rave....

Twilight. The latest hit in teenage American culture. A movie was released on November 22, based off of the award-winning series by Stephanie Meyer. In the opening weekend, Twilight grossed 17 million dollars. Almost all theaters were sold out that saturday night.

So what's the huge deal with Twilight?

Let's just start the list!
-Hot vampires
-Love story
-Suspensful storyline
-And sooo much more!

I even encourage adults to view this movie, it's very moving and a great storyline.

Global Warming.

How much have you heard about this issue in the news recently? You have your environmentalists are saying, "GO GREEN!" and other people believe the world is heating up. Which do you really believe?

I have to say that I believe that global warming is happening, not really at the rate that everyone thinks though. But no doubt that it's happening. When ice is melting and ocean levels are higher than ever, I think that it's a pretty good indicator that something needs to done before we blow up the planet!

Yearbook so far...

Hi-Life yearbook of Washington, Iowa is currently in the works. This year we are trying a whole new format, it has a more newspaper feel. It has a lot of short stories, and profiles. I have a great feeling that this yearbook is going to the best we have put out yet. 

Yearbook theme:

--------> "It's your life" It shows that a student can make in impact in their high school career. It talks about how you can control everything in high school.

My true passion

I love photography, i haven't been doing it for very long, but when you do something that you just know your good at, and that you love to do you just know that it's what you are meant to do.

<------i took this photo right outside my house one morning. I have been told that the light pole kind of is in the way, but i actually like it with the telephone pole in there, it's gives the photo a nice shadow.

I own a Canon that I got for Christmas last year, it's my life, I take pictures of a lot of things, and one of my favorite caterogories of photography is abstract photography, (making something simple and boring look awesome in a photograph) I think that Abstract photos can play tricks on the eyes and thats what I like about.

I'm not currently a person big on taking photos of people, i like taking photos of landscape more, it intrigues me alittle bit more. The only problem I have with taking landscape photos, is especially in the winter, outside photos are kinda an out, because it's extremely boring with no leaves on trees and skies are always grey, it's just plain boring. So during the winter is when I do alot of shots of people in order to keep that intrigue.

Photography is my real passion and I could spend my whole life doing it. It's what i love doing the most.
