New Decisions....Changing the Future

I've always been a type of person who hates to change a lot in a short amount of time, and lately I've come to find out that maybe sometimes that's what is for the best.

I have officially decided that in June, I am moving in with my boyfriend who lives in Kalona, Iowa, which is about 10 minutes from where I live now. I can't freaking wait! I am so excited to finally move out of my home, it's a moment in a young person's life that only comes around once, and I don't wanna miss this golden opportunity. For awhile I thought it would be too soon in June to move in, we would only be dating for about six months, but then I kinda knew that it would be okay, I know everyone gets these, these gut instincts when you just know that it's right. And I know this is what is supposed to happen, and I won't let this opportunity pass by me.

Sick of being Cold....

My mother and step father are currently looking into moving to Hawaii. We live in Iowa, and frankly I can't blame them for moving somewhere warm. My mom has always said she wanted to live somewhere with four seasons, but that perspective serverely changed after a cold winter in iowa this year. We moved out to the country in August, and we have a propane tank. Well it's $600 dollars to get only 300 gallons of propane. So it the midst of winter we constantly run out propane and our house becomes freezing.

So one day, my mom and I were talking about living somewhere warm and she brought up that she was surfing the internet and looking at the possibility of moving to Hawaii. When my mom sets her mind on something, it often gets done. So she wants to set a trip this next winter to go to Hawaii and scope out the areas. Even though 75 degree weather year around sounds highly appealing, I don't know if i could leave my boyfriend. But we will see what the next two years bring. Cause my mom doesn't want to move until she's graduated from the University of Iowa.

Sleep Deprivation

3am
Beginning the day
Loading hogs
His strength dissipating with every one

7am
Clean up
Grabs all he can find
Car harts, gloves, and Burt’s Bees
He drives to where his boss tells him
Only to get on a roof
Getting whip lashed by a frigid wind
Pounding nails into rough tar
Dragging millions of bundles of shingles unto the roof
Constantly bending over to grab for some rusty tool

6pm
Finally done
Pain flowing in every part of his body
Taking a shower
Grabbing some quick to eat

6:30pm
5 hours of power washing begins
30 degrees outside
Water beating against the dirty building
Soaking him in un-pure water
His hands start to shake uncontrollably from the cold
But he pushes on

10pm
Shivering in his car that doesn’t blow out heat
Getting home with a sigh of relief
Taking a hot shower that scolds his skin
But he doesn’t care

11pm
Falls into his cozy bed
Curls up in his covers
Ascends into a deep sleep
Knowing…
Four hours until it begins again

Should be sued!!!

In Minnesota, a 93 year old man that was a WW2 solider died in his home by freezing to death because the gas company put a trip on his line, so after it ran for so long it would shut off automatically, and you had to hit the breaker to turn it back on. The company didn't tell this man about the thing on his gas line, and he froze to death with four layers of clothes on and a winter coat. I guess the reasoning for putting the trip on his heating was because he hadn't paid his gas bill for quite sometime. I guess inside the home this man had stacks of cash. But he was 93, so he might have not been exactly with it.

This is murder, there's no other way to explain it.
The company said they were going to no longer going to do that. I wouldn't care, if I was this man's family, I would be suing the company for damages. There were better ways to handle this situation, I mean what kind of gas company shuts off heat in the middle of the winter and not tell the owner. That man could have lived if he was informed of the incident.

That company has no reason to even be open, they should shut down.

Gas companies are so money hungary now-a-days, that customer service is thrown to the wind. In Iowa, Alliant Energy is the most screwed up company I have ever seen. They are constantly screwing over people, and demanding money that isn't actually owed to them. I believe Alliant needs to be shut down for being Jackasses. In one incident with Alliant, we had to sell one of our cars in order to pay a outragous bill that basically was them just finding some lame ass reason to charge us 1700, but they had no proof.

SOMEONE ELSE NEEDS TO CHALLENGE ALLIANT AND GET THEM SHUT DOWN!

ALL GONE!

I'm am currently in Yearbook, and all of our yearbook and newspaper stuff is GONE! so today, me and Chaylea have nothing to do but sit and wait and pray that it comes back. So we are gonna study for our test for French that is over the reflexive verbs. woo..how exciting.

P.S. I need more topic ideas to add to my blog, as you hear stuff in the news, let me know because I think it's important to cover certain topics that are affecting us today.

Bristol Palin

Welcomed her baby boy into the world. Tripp Johnston I think is his name.

What makes this whole situation much different from any other teen pregnancy is the fact that Bristol Palin is in the public eye with the fact that her mother was John McCain's running mate for the vice presidency.

Suddenly in our world, teen pregnancy is impacting younger and younger age groups.
The real question is what do we have to do to lessen the percentages of teen pregnancy. We need to start with the media, the media already gives off a huge sexual vibe, making it look okay for teens to practice unsafe sex.

Juno, was a fabulous way to show that teen pregnancy isn't the best and brightest idea. Teens have so much ahead of them, especially now, don't mess it up with having unsafe sex. no point.

Merry Christmas.....

Welcome to the "best time" of the year.
Well that's what everyone says.
Is it really?
Spending all of your money and maxing out your credit cards?
and for what?
Is the extravagant gifts really worth it?

I know everyone says that Christmas shouldn't be about the gifts, but that's exactly what Christmas is about in the modern society.

Should be about giving to others, and helping those who can't afford to have a fantastic Christmas!
Christmas gifts should be stuff that the person needs, and not wants. I am not saying that getting stuff you want isn't great to recieve. But most of the gifts should be want is needed.

So next time you spend tons of money and max out your credit cards, think about others who are less fortunate, and deserve to also have a great christmas.
